a. Ordinary Members: – Any person who is or was engaged at any time in the teaching of any of the scheduled subjects or carrying on postgraduate work on the same in a University, recognized institution or laboratory shall be eligible for enrolment as an ordinary member. The annual subscription for the ordinary members shall be Rs. 1000/-. (One Thousand only). The subscriptions are payable within the first month of each year.
b. Life Members: – Any individual with MS/ MD Anatomy Degree may become a Life Member on request, with the approval of the Executive Committee and after making a single payment of Rs. 3500/- towards Life Membership Fee.
c. Associate Life members: Any Individual with qualifications other than MS / MD may become Associate Life Member (eg. MSc, PHd, Dental, AYUSH, etc.,) on request, with the approval of the Executive Committee and after making a single payment of Rs. 3500/- towards Life Membership Fee.
d. PG Life members: – Any Individual doing PG degree may become a Life Member on request, with the approval of the Executive Committee and after making a single payment of Rs. 3500/- towards Life Membership Fee.
e. Student members: -Any Individual student (studying either MBBS / BDS) may become a ordinary student member on request, with the approval of the Executive Committee and after making a single payment of Rs. 1000/- towards temporary membership Fee.
f. Honorary Members: – Any person of outstanding scientific attainments in any of the scheduled subjects or any person who has rendered or is likely to render material service in advancing the objectives of the Chapter may, on the recommendations of the Executive Committee of the Chapter be elected an Honorary Member at the annual general meeting. Past office bearers will be Honorary members.

3.Privileges of members: –
(a) Privileges of Life Members with MS/MD degrees: –
i) Members shall have the right to be present in all General Body Meetings of the Chapter.
ii) A Life Member with MD / MS degree who is working or residing in Karnataka has right to Propose, Contest & Vote at any election of the Chapter.
iii) All members shall have the right to present papers of communications at the annual or any special session.
iv) All Life Members shall have the right to propose or second names for membership for new entrants.

(b) Privileges of a Associate Life Member (eg. MSc, PHd, Dental, AYUSH, etc.) & Student Member (UG / PG)
i) An Associate Life Member & student member (UG / PG) will be entitled to attend the conference and may present a paper.
ii) An Associate Life Member & student member (UG / PG) will not be allowed to participate in the General Body Meeting or the Executive Committee Meetings.
iii) An Associate Life Member & student member (UG / PG) has no right to vote at any election of the Chapter.
(c) Previlages of Ordinary member: -Ordinary member is allowed to attend & present papers during that year in which he / she has paid the annual membership fee.

4. Election of Members: – Rules & regulations for conducting elections of Karnataka Chapter of Anatomists.
a. Returning officer to be selected at the General Body meeting, to conduct the election process.
b. Returning officer should not contest in elections.
c. The Returning officer along with the help of Secretary, Treasurer & HOD’s of various colleges in Karnataka should prepare the total list of Life-members (MS / MD degrees) as per the colleges they are working in Karnataka. The List should also include the retired Life members residing in Karnataka. The final list should be displayed in the official web site. Any discrepancy in the list like addition or deletion should be notified to the election returning officer before the intimation of calendar of events,after which it will be taken as the final electoral list.
d. Calendar of events of elections should be notified to all life members who are eligible to vote.
e. Ballot paper should be printed with Logo of KCA, Serial No. mentioned, with seal & signature of returning officer.
5. Eligibility criteria for contesting or voting in elections: –
a. To be Life member with MS or MD degree.
b. Should be working in Karnataka & residing in Karnataka.
c. The newly enrolled members must be valid members of the Society for a least 1 year before they can exercise their right of voting / contesting.
d. If retired from service but settled in Karnataka (working or not working).
e. The life members of the association who are eligible to contest for any of the above posts should send their nomination. The nomination should have a proposer & seconder, who should also be life-members of the association working in Karnataka.
f. Cannot contest for that particular post if he/she has held it for two consecutive terms.
g. The persons who wish to contest and the persons who wish to nominate should have their names displayed in the final electoral list.

7. Removal of Members
Any member (except Honorary members) shall be liable to have their name removed from the list of members: -If in the opinion of the Executive Committee and in the interest of the Chapter such removal is considered desirable, such removal shall be finally decided by voting, in a General Body Meeting by a 3/4th majority of members present.
